Involvement

The only thing wrong with doing nothing is that you never know when you're finished  -Author Unknown
On the campus of the University of West Georgia I am an active member of several varying organizations. Some of those organizations are; Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Women of Diversity (WOD) an all female organization that focuses on making every young women at the University of West Georgia feel apart of something, along with giving sisterhood to those whom seek it and a helping hand and loving heart to all those around us. Social Chair for College Girls Rock (CGR) an organization reaching out to the ladies not only on the campus of UWG but also in the Carroll County Community. Our mission is to help these young ladies see the pros to furthering their education after high school. To the young ladies that are in college we encourage them to stay in school and most importantly prioritize. To the young ladies in the community we strive to find out why is it that they are not interested in going to college and hopefully change their views on college. Although college is not for everyone, our goal is to find what works for these young women. College is not just work 24/7 its about networking and building a lifestyle for your self. Also I am a paid Peer Educator. Peer educators are UWG students that go around to different freshmen classes, organizations, clubs, and programs in the community (by invitation) bringing awareness to the topics college students don't like to shine light on such as STDs and Alcohol abuse issues.

The programs listed above are not the only programs I am apart of, but are the most motivational and inspiring to my actual career path.

Who is the Founder?

My name is Victoria Bambo. I am a third year student at the University of West Georgia. My major is Sociology and minoring in Women Studies. This dream came into my heart after paying close attention to the young ladies in my community along with communities around me. Societies are very quick to judge youth and say negative things, but many people are very slow to reach out to them. I want to help young ladies understand no matter where you come from; you can always do and get better.
Once you dream it, you have already done the hard part. –Victoria Bambo

What Is Significantly Beautiful?

Significantly Beautiful is a traveling program that I am currently working on getting established in multiple areas. Significantly Beautiful will focus on young females that come from poverty stricken areas, single parent households, households lacking motivation and inspiration, along with females that feel they have nowhere to go or no one to listen to their cries. This program will focus on empowering these young ladies emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically. My ultimate goal is for this to develop into a magazine company that will help young girls all around the world understand their self-worth and understand everything about them is Significantly Beautiful.
